In 2004 Mr. Buzby a graduate of Lumen Christi high school gave Five Thousand Dollars towards a Pass Through Grant (which he created with the help of the Onsted School Scholarship Committee) that helped two young students go to college. This Scholarship is not like any others around. Most Scholarships are through sports. This Schoolarship is based on who has increased their GPA by the largest amount. Mr. Buzby saw that Bill Cosby did this and the idea occurred to him that he wanted to do something to help as well in his local community. After donating five thousand dollars to Onsted Schools towards the Pass through Scholarship Foundation, Mr. Buzby thought it might be a good idea to start he first annual "Pete Buzby Scholarship Foundation Golf Outing". The turn out brought three thousand dollars which was given to the Onsted School for his Scholarship.

This is a four player scramble format with Proceeds benefiting the Buzby Academic Scholarship which encourages sophomores and juniors to build their post high school life by studying harder now. DETAILS 12:30 pm shotgun start, Sunday, August 13th, 2006 at Devil’s Lake Golf Course, Manitou Beach, MI DONATION $65 per person includes :
18 holes of golf Cart fee Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda Raffle w/ door prizes HOLE SPONSORSHIP Hole sponsorships are available. If you or your organization would like to sponsor a hole, please write in your sponsorship amount, and your preferred hole(s) to sponsor.

GOLF RULES Senior Division (combined ages of all 4 players 230 or over). Junior Division (everyone else). 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place trophies will be awarded in each division. Long drive, closest to the pin. Approximate USGA rules will be enforced. No cue sticks. Seriously, the emphasis will be on everyone having a good time.
